Final Salute

William Warren Maggard passed away on December 12, 2022, at Holston Valley Hospital.

He was born to Nellie Mullins (Maggard) and Earl Maggard in the year of our Lord 1933 in Pound, VA. He was married to Johnnie Ruth Adams on June 28, 1955. He attended Christopher Gist High School and entered the United States Navy (Seabees) in 1953. He retired from the military in 1974 with the rank of Chief Petty Officer. He enrolled at Mountain Empire Community College in Big Stone Gap and graduated with an Associate Degree in Mining Technology. He was a strong Christian and attended church at the Independent Baptist Church in Pound for many years. He is now with God but will be missed by his family.

He is survived by his wife and 5 sons; William Paul, Barry Warren, Darrell, Aaron Douglas, and Steven Craig and his sisters; Paula Ball, Trula Bolling, and Linda Holcolm and his brother Tim Maggard.

Final arrangements will be private.
