Final Salute

Long time Cottage Grove resident, Ronald “Ron” Schneider passed away July 31, 2024. Born August 1, 1946, he grew up mostly in Junction City, Oregon. He was involved in many sports, including tennis and basketball during high school. Ron was a Boy Scout and Eagle Scout.

At Southern Oregon College he earned a Business and Marketing Degree. He served in the Navy Seabees and became Chief Petty Officer, stationed in Agana, Guam and Yap Island during the Vietnam war.

Returning to Oregon he started Schneider Land Management and also worked as a wild land firefighter and realtor.

More than anything he loved the Lord and wanted to share Jesus with everyone he met. He started a ministry that is still active today, Business Men for Christ.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents Welby Schneider and Mary Louise Schneider-Cox.

He is survived by his wife, Robyn; sons Robert Schneider and Jason Schneider (Kris); daughter Stacie Veatch (Jacob); grandchildren Cole (Dani), Conner, Vash, Vaylen, Verrick, and great grandchild Dawson; step children Evan, Andrea, Alexis, Ian and seven step grandchildren; sister Nancy Gould; brothers Randy Schneider and Mark Schneider; step father Harold Cox and so many relatives and friends. He was so loved and will be greatly missed.
