ELLENDALE – James Christian Kneipp, 64, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at his home. He was born in Newark, New Jersey on March 28, 1956 to the late Joseph William Kneipp and Mary Ellen Fisher Kneipp.
James proudly served his country as an E-4 with the U.S. Navy. He was a Navy Seabee, and received the honor of being a Sailor of the Quarter while serving. He worked for George Howard & Sons as a heavy equipment operator.
James moved to Delaware as a teenager. He had a wonderful sense of humor, and everyone enjoyed his company. He loved NASCAR and especially the Dallas Cowboys.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by two siblings, Bobby Kneipp and Kathleen Kneipp.
James is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sally Hutson Kneipp; two sons, Chris Kneipp and Brian Kneipp, both of Georgetown; six siblings, Joseph Kneipp (Lilly) of Old Bridge, New Jersey, Bill Kneipp (Dorothy) of Lewes, Delaware, Steve Kneipp (Kim) of Millsboro, Delaware, Marianne Millman of Milford, Delaware, Joyce Simpson of Williamstown, New Jersey and June LaBrutto (Rich) of Paulsboro, New Jersey; as well as two granddaughters.
At James’ requested, no formal services will be held.
