Final Salute

Amesbury – It is with great sadness that the family of Richard J. Lysik, age 74, of Amesbury, announce his passing on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport.
Richard was born in Newburyport on September 15, 1946. He was one of four children of John Lysik and Elizabeth (Hamilton) Lysik. He was a graduate of Newburyport Public Schools.
Richard joined the Navy (Seabees) after high school and spent 22 years in the service. After his retirement from military service, Richard was employed with the Council on Aging for the City of Newburyport for over 10 years.
He leaves behind two sisters, Elizabeth and Margaret Lysik; a sister-in-law, Nancy Lysik;, two nephews, James Jr. and Shawn Lysik; and two great-nieces; and was predeceased by his brother, James D. Lysik. Richard will be dearly missed by his friends and family.

Due to the continued restrictions for COVID-19, services will be private for the family. Arrangements are by Elliott, Woodworth & Rogers Family Funeral Home, 35 Green Street, Newburyport.
