Final Salute

Richard John GRUMLEY, 84, of Oxnard, CA, died October 28, 2020, CA, born February 10, 1936.

It is with great sadness that Richard J. Grumley, age 84 of Oxnard, California, our dad and grandpa had passed away October 28, 2020. He was born in Montreal,Canada and served proudly in the Armed Forces, where he spent the first part of his career in the Army and then retired from the Navy Seabees as a heavy equipment operator/instructor. Richard also worked and retired from the Ventura County Superintendent of Schools after his military career.

Sadly, he lost his wife of 62 years, Jung Ae Grumley, on November 23, 2019 and is now at peace along side his wife. He is survived by his daughter Roxy Edgar, son John Grumley (wife Veronica), grandchildren Angus Edgar (wife Stacie), Candace Norton (husb/James), Christine Grumley, Eric Grumley (wife Brenda) and great grandchildren Daxton Edgar, Marlo Grumley, Willa and Remy Norton, Makayla and James Kleen, as well as Boudreaux.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends and shall always be remembered for all the things he shared and taught, his humor and how truly thoughtful and giving he was. He was and is very special to us all and will be in our hearts forever.
