Lawrence I. Pollins, 73, Perch Lake Rd., Watertown, died Friday January 27th at University Hospital in Syracuse after a brief illness.
Spring graveside services with military honors will be held in Glenwood Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are with the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home, Watertown.
He is survived by his wife Joanne, Watertown; a granddaughter Ashleigh Smith and two great grandchildren, Everleigh and Mattix, all of Watertown. He was predeceased by a daughter Robin Denicola Smith on May 6, 2009.
He was born in Burlington, VT, February 22, 1943, a son to Edward and Ann Kerschner Polinsky. He was educated in Vermont and Connecticut schools. Following his graduation, he served in the Army and retired from the US Navy Reserves after 20 years.
Lawrence married Joanne Fayette in 1968.
Mr. Pollins worked for the New York State Department of Transportation as a supervisor with the road crew at the Rt. 342, Town of Pamelia location until his retirement.
