Joseph Tonielli passed away August 22, 2024 at OSF Center for Healthcare, Streator.

He was born in Paxton, IL July 16, 1943. He married Violet Abbott June 10, 1967 at the Harding Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by Violet (1/13/2019). He has two daughters, Kelly (Bruce) Davis of Troy Grove; Kathy (Dale) Russell of Ottawa; three grandchildren, Shelby (Andrew) Pena of Ottawa, Ryne (Shelbee) Davis of Copperas Cove, TX and Ronald (Allie) Russell of Streator. He also leaves two great-grandchildren, Jude Pena and Mason Agelson of Ottawa.

Joseph retired from LOF and the military serving all four branches beginning with the Navy as a machinist, Marine Corps Shore Patrol, US Army Guard, Air Guard and finally the Navy Seabees. There will be no services. He will be laid to rest at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in the near future.
