Earl C. Batson Jr., age 74, formerly of Chelmsford, passed away at his home on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Linda (Russell) Batson with whom he enjoyed 52 years of marriage. He was born in Somerville on August 25, 1947 and was the son of the late Earl Sr. and Leona (Russell) Batson. He was a graduate of Lexington High School class of 1964. Earl proudly served his country during the Vietnam War enlisting in the United States Navy Seabees. He was employed as a clerk with the US Postal Service until his retirement in 2008. Earl was a member of the VFW and the Chelmsford Elks Lodge #2310. He cherished his time with his family. Earl will be dearly missed. In addition to his loving wife, Earl is survived by his daughter Tracy Abraham and her husband Michael of Groton, his son Michael Batson and his wife Cindi of Chelmsford, his grandchildren; Blake, Carolyn, Jack, Gavin, Alex and Savannah, his sisters; Virginia Turpin of Boxborough and Susan Whitman of Fitchburg, his brother James Batson of PA and his brother-in-law Charles Russell of NC.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11am at St. Mary Parish, 25 North Rd., CHELMSFORD. KINDLY GATHER AT CHURCH. Interment will follow in Pine Ridge Cemetery, CHELMSFORD.
