PO1/EA1

Date of birth 05/03/1980
Date of passing 02/10/2025

Jeffrey Ladd Beiser of Yardley, PA passed away peacefully with beloved family by his side on February 10, 2025 in the VA Medical Center of Philadelphia, PA at the age of 44.

Jeff was born in Abington, PA on May 3, 1980 and was predeceased by his mother. Jeff was a resident of Gulfport, MS before moving back to PA in 2023.

He was the devoted father of Nathan James Beiser and former husband of Carolyn Jamie Erb. He was the dear brother of Angela Chiesa and her husband Rick and loving uncle to Samantha and Ricky Chiesa. He was the cherished son of Ladd Beiser and the late Marilyn (Briesky) Beiser.

Jeff graduated from Neshaminy High School in 1998. He enlisted in the United States Navy in September 1999 and proudly served as a Seabee as an Engineering Aide, retiring in 2019 as a First Class Petty Officer after 20 years of honorable and faithful service. EA1 Beiser was a qualified Seabee Combat Warfare Specialist and Expeditionary Warfare Specialist. Jeff served with NMCB One and NMCB 11 in Gulfport, MS and Construction Battalion Maintenance Unit 303 in San Diego, CA. He served with Explosive Ordnance Disposal Group TWO and Naval Special Warfare Group TWO in Little Creek, VA.

Jeff served as a Naval Special Warfare Technician, deploying to Afghanistan with Seal Team Four 1 Troop Alpha Platoon in September 2012. The NSW community always held a special place in Jeff’s heart, and he was deeply impacted by the losses sustained in Operation Red Wings on June 28, 2005. During his years of service, he also deployed to Guam, Australia, the Philippines, Japan, Senegal, and Rota, Spain.

Jeff’s awards include the Army Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal (9 awards), Meritorious Unit Commendation Award, Battle Efficiency “E” Ribbon (2 awards), Combat Action Ribbon, and various unit service and campaign awards. He also earned the title of Division 7 Recruiter of Fiscal Year 2014 while working in Navy Recruit District Philadelphia.

Jeff was quite skilled at bowling, as well as dirt bike and motorcycle riding. He loved building and fixing things, and always had a pocket knife within reach. Jeff was happiest when he was jet skiing, on a boat, swimming, fishing, or scuba diving. He had an avid interest in cars, especially BMW’s, and was an enthusiastic supporter of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. He absolutely loved the sitcom “Friends,” really appreciated Michael Flatley’s “Lord of the Dance,” and had the movies “Bad Boys” and “Independence Day” memorized. Jeff had fun playing a version of backgammon called Acey Deucey. He was a practical joker; it was not uncommon for him to tell his sister he was in Virginia Beach while actually knocking on her door in PA for a surprise weekend visit. Jeff enjoyed car washes and parking garages and had a love of helicopters, absolutely relishing any opportunity he had to take a ride on a “bird.”

His family and friends will most remember Jeff’s kindness, generosity, humility, willingness to help others, and that sparkle in his bright blue eyes when he was happy.

Cremation was private under the direction of the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901.

Relatives and friends will be received at a public service with military honors held at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA this spring; details to follow.
