Clark William Joseph, Sr. Passed away suddenly on March 20, 2023. He was 75 years old. Bill is survived by his wife, Belen Clark; children William Joseph Clark Jr. (Jorge), Lisa Nicole Clark; and Grandson, Indie Rhys Clark. A retired Philadelphia Police Corporal, Bill spent 47 years working for the city as a Highway Patrol Officer, K9, and closing out his career as a Corporal in the 12th District. Bill also served our country in the Vietnam War in 1968-69 as a Navy Seabee and later joined the Army National Guard, serving 40 years in the military. As a Philadelphia native he also was involved in the Mummers. An avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Bill loved to cheer on his team each week. He loved spending his time with his family at the Somerton Springs Swim Club and later in life, would spend most of his time with his Grandson, Indie. Bill always reminded his children to “Be a Good Person.” He lived these words each day by helping others at the Northeast Older Adult Center always lending a hand to those in need. Relatives and friends are invited to Bill’s Life Celebration on Monday, April 3, 2023 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at JOHN F. GIVNISH FUNERAL HOME, 10975 Academy Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154. A second Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at St. Cecelia Church, 535 Rhawn Street, Philadelphia, PA 19111. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 A.M. Bill will be laid to rest at Washington Crossing National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the FOP Survivors Fund or the Philadelphia Police Fallen Hero Fund.
