Carroll Garnett Caldwell, of Harrison, beloved husband and father, passed away on August 23, 2024, at the age of 90. He was born on May 8, 1934 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Garnett Quinn and Florence (Darling) Caldwell.
Throughout his life, Carroll was a devoted husband to his wife, Dolores, and a loving father to their sons: Dennis and Roger. He cherished his family above all else, finding joy in simple moments spent together and creating lasting memories that will be treasured for years to come. When his boys were young, Carroll became their Boy Scout leader for many years. He loved steamboats. Carroll enjoyed taking many different trips on steamboats throughout his life, even living on one for a short period of time. He also enjoyed walking and was dedicated to walking 3 miles every day.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife: Dolores (Simon) Caldwell, sons: Dennis (Melinda) Caldwell and Roger (late Craig Hodgson) Caldwell; grandchildren: Meredith, Scott and Nathaniel Caldwell; sister: Linda Phillips and sister-in-law: Judith Caldwell.
Preceded in death by his parents: Garnett and Florence Caldwell; brother: Michael Caldwell and brother-in-law: Ken Phillips.
