Final Salute

Edward W. O’Neill, Jr, 81, of Batesville passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024, in Batesville. He was born May 27, 1942, in Boston, Massachusetts to Edwin and Rita (LeGrice) O’Neill. He was a member of the Seabees in the United States Navy and a member of the Harrison Street Church of Christ.

Edward enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and telling tales.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Doris O’Neill.

Survivors include three daughters; Kelly Russell (Edward) of Linthicum, MD, Maureen O’Neill (Mark) of Crystal Lake, IL and Tracy Martin (Thomas) of Florida; a stepson, William Taylor (Aundria) of Batesville; twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren as well as his caregivers; Pauletta Littleton and Bettie Magness both of Cave City along with a host of other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Harrison Street Church of Christ with Steve Smith officiating.
