Final Salute

Frederick J. “Fritz” Niermann, Sr., 93, Asleep in Jesus on October 31, 2020.
The beloved husband of the late Mildred J. Niermann (nee Sommer); cherished father of Frederick J.(Karen) Niermann, Jr., Janet (Bob) Helfrich; treasured grandfather of Jeffrey (Alison) Niermann, Andrew (Kari) Niermann, Meghan (Dan) McLaughlin and Meredith (James Collins) Helfrich ; loving great-grandfather of Lilli Niermann, Josh Niermann, Audrey Niermann, William Niermann, Walter Niermann, Tommy Niermann, Charlie McLaughlin, Teddy McLaughlin. Fritz was preceded in death by his siblings, Ruth Pardeck and Jack Niermann. He was a loving uncle, cousin and friend.

Fritz enjoyed building and collecting models of military ships, stemming from his service in the United States Navy as a Seabee. He also had an extensive beer can and t-shirt collection. Fred was a 60 year member of Grace Chapel Lutheran Church and a 70 plus year member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local 36.

The funeral procession will depart at 12:00 pm on Thursday, November 5, 2020 from Hutchens-Stygar Funeral & Cremation Center, 5987 Mid Rivers Mall Dr., St. Charles, MO 63304 for graveside services at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at 1:00 pm with military honors. Memorial contributions have been suggested to Lutheran Senior Services, Foundation.
