Final Salute

Joseph Thomas Groves Sr., 78 of Vineland, NJ passed away peacefully at Cumberland Manor in Hopewell, NJ on July 1, 2025.
Born in Bridgeton Hospital on April 20, 1947. Joe grew up in Dividing Creek before moving to Vineland where he attended high school.
Joe served in the Vietnam war from 1969 to 1971 completing two tours for the United States Navy SeaBee Battalion. Joe was employed by Gifford Trucking Company, Freedman’s Bakery and worked at Ron’s Texaco. Joe enjoyed hunting, watching NASCAR and spending time with his family and friends.
Joe is survived by his wife, Deborah (Reese) Groves of 45 years; son, Joseph Thomas Groves Jr. and wife, Lisa; brother, John Groves and wife, Joan; sister-in-law, Darlene Groves; two step-great-granddaughters, Loren and Livvie Carucci and his beloved dog Hallie. Joe is predeceased by his parents, John and Marie Groves and his brother James Groves.
A gathering of friends and family will be held from 1:00pm until 2:30pm followed by a service at 2:30pm on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at the DeMarco – Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave. Vineland.
