Harry Miles Groce Obituary

Harry Miles Groce, 61, 310 W. 11th St., Tyrone, died Friday, September 19, 2008.

He was born July 15, 1947, in West Chester, Pa., son of Joseph B. and Anna Margaret (Gorley) Groce.

Surviving are two daughters: Katie Groce and Susan Groce, both of Bellwood; and a son, Matthew Rice.

Mr. Groce was a carpenter.

He was a graduate of West Chester High School and Williamson Trade School.

Mr. Groce was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in the Sea Bees during the Vietnam conflict.

He was a member of the American Legion Post, Tyrone.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation.

A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday, October 4, 2008, at the Howard Gardner American Legion Post 281, Tyrone.
