Raymond E. Heinonen
Heinonen, Raymond E. age 93, passed away May 30, 2016. He was born in Minneapolis, and graduated from North High School. After graduation, he joined the Navy (CBU501), stationed in New Zealand during World War II. Upon returning home, he became a member of Carpenters Union Local 1644. Raymond spent most of his adult life in the Twin Cities and Clearwater, Florida. Survived by children, Raymond (Dawn) Heinonen, Ruth Stanoch, Rebecca Pedersen, Ronald (fiancée, Bonnie) Heinonen; grandchildren, Jonathon (Melissa) Heinonen, Joseph Stanoch, Phillip Gorman, Joshua Gorman, Andrew Heinonen.; great-grandchildren, Dallin Heinonen, Logan Heinonen; sisters-in-law, Joan Gates and Pat Anderson, brother-in-law Joe (Judy) Anderson, many nieces and nephews and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta; grandson, Patrick Heinonen; parents, John and Eliina; brothers, Ed, Henry, George and Hjalmar; sisters, Elmi Wicker and Elsie Mikkola. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
