He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter Cassell and Era Cassell. He is survived by : his wife Jewell Cassell; his step-children, Deborah Jo Booth and Douglas Mark Pritchett. He is also survived by five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and multiple nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 20th 2019 at 10:00 AM at the Ridout’s Valley Chapel (1800 Oxmoor Rd, Homewood, AL). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 20th 2019 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
