Final Salute

Our dad, Andrew J. Wolfel was born July 27th, 1955 in Bradford, PA to Jeneanne Sherrick and Andrew ‘Bud’Wolfel. He joined the US Navy at 17 and served 22 honorable years as a Seabee, retiring as a Chief Petty Officer. Our dad loved to fish and often said he “can feel it in my bones” right before a bite.

He was a jokester and always wanted to make people laugh. He was the king of the dad jokes. Of course if you told him a joke, his reply would be not to quit your day job. Sound advice. Our Dad, Andy was a loving father,husband, son, and brother. He had a big heart and would give you the shirt off his back. He also was a die hard cheesehead. Go pack!

Our dad died during complications that arose from surgery on an aortic aneurysm. He is survived by our Mom Dallys Wolfel, four kids, Nathan, Shaun, Katie and Kyle. He is also survived by his siblings Diane Bernal, Debra McGraw, Stephen, Mark, and Thomas.
