Kenneth Glenn Morgan, a longtime resident of Wylie, Texas, passed away May30, 2025.  Kenneth was born on August 5, 1932 at home in Clear Lake, Texas, much of which was gone after Lake Lavon was built in 1954.  He was the eldest of six children born to Bink and Evelyn Morgan.  Kenneth joined the military after his 18th birthday, and was deployed to Korea at 19 years old.  After doing two tours in Korea he came back home to Wylie and married his first wife Peggy Jean.  In 1955 their son Scott Steven Morgan was born..

After Korea, Kenneth served as a Navy Seabee and in 1961 was stationed in Keflavik, Iceland.  There he met and married Ingibjorg Nancy Kudrick on November 4, 1961.  They had three daughters together, Peggy, Lisa and Kathy. He was stationed at various locations between Iceland and the United States, but in 1968 they were stationed in Gulfport, Mississippi, and then in 1969 he and his Seabee team were deployed to Vietnam. He served two tours in Vietnam and remained in the military until he retired in 1975, returning home to Wylie, Texas to be near his ailing mother.  Kenneth and Nancy remained married for 58 years until her death on November 13, 2019.

He is preceded in death by his wife Nancy; his parents Earnest Binklin Morgan and Robbie Evelyn (Dial) Morgan; his brothers Benny Joe Morgan and Jerry Mac Morgan; his sisters Billie Frances Brown and husband Robert, Marilyn Joy Kline and husband John, and Linda Diane Hall; son-n-law Roy Steven Powell, brother-n-law Reynir Valtysson, and ex-wife Peggy Jean Moore.  He leaves behind his children Scott and Susan Morgan, Gudbjorg Peggy and Lon Wallace, Lisa and Dan Valko, and Kathy Powell.  His grandchildren:  Joshua and Marta, Brittney and Chris, David, Christina, Erika, Rachael and Jack, Ryan and Michaela, Dalton and Nikki, Griffin, and Karah.  Great grandchildren: John, Enola, Atticus, Haze, Hendrix, Isla, and Willow.  Brother-n-law Danny Hall, sister-n-law Barbara Morgan Petchalat, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Allen Funeral Home located at 508 Masters Ave., Wylie,Texas 75098. Following the service there will be a lunch at the Morgan home located at 302 E. Stone Rd., Wylie, TX 75098
