A funeral mass for William (Bill) Sheridan, who died the 20th of November, will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 600 N. Nova Rd, Ormond Beach, FL 32174, on Wednesday, the 2nd of December 2015 at 11am. A reception at the church, will be held immediately following. Bill was 73 years old. Born in Philadelphia, PA on August 21, 1942, he entered the United States Navy in 1959. He proudly served two tours of duty in the Vietnam conflict and retired as a Seabee Chief Petty Officer in 1978, He served at multiple duty stations around the world, but was most proud of his service while attached to, and serving with, the Third Marine Division in Vietnam, having earned, among others, the Navy Combat Action Ribbon, Fleet Marine Force Combat Distinguishing Device, and multiple other citations. Having served his nation for nearly twenty years in the naval service he next served his community as a law enforcement officer and later served his society as a drug and alcohol counselor. He earned a bachelors degree and a masters degree and rose to a corporate vice presidency in that field, and after retiring again he was a successful owner operator of a small business. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Rosella Sheridan of Philadelphia. He is survived by his wife Donna: daughters, Kristina, Karin and Christina; a brother Robert, and four grandchildren; Jordyn, Cody, Samantha and Ryan. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, boating, scuba diving and shooting. He was a proud life member of the VFW, DAV and the NRA.
