Thomas Eugene Hodges, age 87, of Valrico, Florida passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024. While our hearts ache and we mourn his loss, we take comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering. Tom passed away after a long illness at home, surrounded by his family. He embodied the best qualities: He loved his Lord and Savior and shared an unconditional love for his family. Later Gator. We love you to the moon and back. Until we meet again. Kiss, kiss, kiss He was preceded in death by his first wife of 49 years, Lyndall Louise Smith, and grandson, Tyler Owen Williamson.

A lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

Tom retired after 23 years as an electrician at GM’s Delphi plant.

Thomas was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for 65 yrs. Tom dropped out of school early and later joined the Air Force. Education became a lifelong love, and he sought opportunities to learn new skills. He held numerous certifications.
