James Albert Cutshall

Jim Cutshall, 81, went peacefully home to be with our Lord on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 2:22 a.m.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Faith, 5701 Hwy 277 South with Pastor Greg Goza officiating. The burial to follow the service at Elmwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and family from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Jim was born in Breckenridge, Texas on May 25, 1929 to Lura Mae (Dendy) and Harry E. Cutshall, Sr. He attended school in the Breckenridge area until 1942, when following the death of his mother, he moved to Buchner’s Orphanage Home in Dallas, Texas until 1948. He graduated from Albany High School and attended Ranger Jr. College.
He served in the United States Army for 6 years, followed by a 20-year career in the United States Naval Reserves Seabees. He was employed by Southwestern Bell / AT&T for 34 years.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Harry E. Cutshall, Jr. and Leland T. Cutshall; 2 wives, Joy Ann and Sarah Francis, along with a great-grandson, Evan Walls.
He is survived by three daughters, Judy Jones and husband Larry of Abilene, June Williams and husband Mike of Abilene, and Jan Cutshall of Azle, TX; sister, Mary Beth Hutton of Phoenix, AZ; sister-in-law, Anna Laura Cutshall of Azle, TX; five grandchildren and spouses, Brad Walls and Patti of Wisconsin, Amy Bietel and Roland of McCamey, TX, Lindsey Owen and Jerry Don of Potosi, Chad Williams of Nebraska and Jessica Cutshall of Azle, TX; four step-grandchildren, Tonya Lynn Bruce of Oklahoma, Jennifer Escamilla of Plainview, TX, Jill Jones of Seguin, TX and Julie Lovelace of Kentucky; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Brad Walls, Chad Williams, Jerry Don Owen III, Tim Cutshall, Eric and Zeke Garcia. Honorary pallbearers are Jack Cutshall and Randy Cutshall.
The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to Windcrest Alzheimer’s Care Center and to Hendrick Hospice.
