Final Salute

Bobby Ray Coplin, 89, of Witcherville, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at home on the family farm. He served over 20 years as a Seabee in the United States Navy and retired as a Chief Petty Officer. Following this, he worked 30 years as a maintenance supervisor for JC Penny. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, and member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Witcherville.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Helen Coplin; son, Debus Coplin and wife Karla; daughter, Sherry Cheatham; seven grandchildren, David and wife Erica, Steven and wife Pamela, Michael and wife Sara, Jessica and husband Eric, Jami and husband Matt, Julia and Janna and eleven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Donna Crelia

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 3 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Witcherville with interment at Lovelace Cemetery in Witcherville under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home in Greenwood. Viewing will be Friday, from 1 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home, where family will visit with friends from 5 – 7 p.m.
