The family of Henry A. Schwinn is saddened by his passing on May 15, 2026, after a battle with cancer. He was 88 years old.
Henry is survived by his wife Jacqueline of 67 years, his son, Michael, grandsons Zachary and Benjamin and his sister, Viola Vollmerhausen. His daughter, Michele, and his brother, Charles preceded him in death.
Henry was born in Baltimore, Maryland on March 12, 1938. He arranged to have his body donated for research to the State of Maryland Anatomy Board. This request has been honored.
Henry worked for the Baltimore Gas & Electric company for about 40 years.
He also served in the US Navy SeaBees for a period of 33 years. His love for our nation was so strong that the final 3 years of his service were without any financial remuneration. This service satisfied his passion for building.
Henry will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was an extrememly generous and thoughtful friend to many people. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
