Date of birth 11/04/1935
Date of passing 03/26/2023

Paul Joseph Kruse, 87, of Ocean Springs, MS, passed to his eternal reward on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at home. He was born to Paul John Kruse and Lillian Whitehead Kruse in Brooklyn, NY on November 4, 1935.

Paul was raised in Staten Island, NY enlisting in the US Navy at 18 years of age. He was active-duty military working in the Construction Battalion (US Navy Seabees) and completed his career retiring from the US Navy reserves. After settling in Mississippi, he earned his college degree in Business Math and purchased a home in Ocean Springs. He was a humble and religious man known to speak his mind. Spending his life as a Seabee sure gave him a fix-it-first mentality who knew the value of a dollar. He is loved and will be missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Kruse; his brother, Daniel Kruse; his sister, Patricia O’Donnell; and his niece, Gina Libretto. His daughter-in-law, Angie Marie Kruse passed on the same day 21 years ago.

Paul is survived by his sister, Gloria Jean Kruse; his three children, Paul Kruse of San Diego, CA; Debra Lindsey of Poughkeepsie, NY and Brenda (Clint) Hackney of Ocean Springs, MS; his six grandchildren, Thomas Angel, Francis (Timothy) Yoder, Brooke (Joe) Thome, Jessie Dadds, Rickie (Jordan) Dadds and Addy Hackney; his great grandchildren, Aiden, Taryn, Daymian, Dash, Terra, Angelina, Brett, Graham and Ryan; as well as many extended family members.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at Biloxi National Cemetery on Monday, April 3, 2023 at 11:00 am.

Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Paul Joseph Kruse.
