Detective Lieutenant Kevin Jay Stolinsky, age 44, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021. He was the son of Martin Jack “Marty” Stolinsky and the late Jacqueline Saunders Stolinsky. He is survived by his wife, Casey Stolinsky; daughter, Anna Stolinsky; father, Martin Jack “Marty” Stolinsky; brother, David Stolinsky and his wife Hollie; aunt, Barbara O’Donnelly; father in law, John Turner and wife Robi; mother in law, Connie Bowen and husband James; sister in law, Megan Cole and husband Marcus; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by sister, Nancy Skulitz and brother, Wayne Biscardi. Services to Honor and Celebrate Detective Sergeant Stolinsky will be at One O’clock the afternoon of Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at LifePoint Church, 506 Legacy Drive, Smyrna, Tennessee 37167. Gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday, evening November 16, 2021 from Four O’clock until Eight O’clock and Wednesday November 17, 2021 from Eleven in the morning till the service begins at One O’clock at LifePoint Church, 506 Legacy Drive, Smyrna, Tennessee 37167. Pallbearers will be Member of NMCB24 Seabees, Life Long Friends and Members of the Lavergne Police Department. He proudly served his country in the US Navy, retiring as CE-1 (SCWS)(Ret) Kevin Stolinsky. His service included being a US Navy Seabee and he deployed in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2005, Operation Enduring Freedom in 2009 and Africa Deployment in 2015 and retiring in 2016. He proudly served his community with the Lavergne Police Department. He started in 2001 as a Dispatcher and worked his way thru the ranks to achieve Detective Sergeant. His career training included the TBI State Academy in 2016 and Northwestern School of Police Staff and Command in 2018. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #85-Treasurer, Fraternal Order of Police State Committee Member and Fraternal Order of Police Legislative Committee. He received his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration in 2004 from Middle Tennessee State University and TN Post Certification from Walters State Community College in 2006.
