Final Salute

John Dwayne Whitehouse, age 47, of Ocean Springs passed away on Monday, January 28, 2008 in Ocean Springs. Mr. Whitehouse was born in Albuquerque, NM. He was a “John of all trades”. He was an electrician, a massage therapist and a local potter. Mr. Whitehouse retired as a First Class Petty Officer from the United States Navy. He loved life and had a big heart. He was a hero and will continue to be one. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Jo’Anna Whitehouse. Survivors include his daughter, Jessika Whitehouse; sons, Elijah Whitehouse and Jared Walker; sister, Donna Whitehouse; brother, James D. Whitehouse and his grandmother, Jere’ Blau. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 1, 2008 at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Ocean Springs. Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. in the church. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.
