Paul Jay Miller Sr., aged 75, passed away on May 4, 2023, in Alexandria, Virginia with his family at his side.
Paul was born on November 14, 1947, in Hauppauge, New York, to Myron Sr. and Esther Miller. He was a loving husband to Kathy and a devoted father to his children, Paul Jay Jr., Jared, and Megan, as well as a proud grandfather to Caitlin and Lenora.

Paul attended Hauppauge High School before earning degrees in Civil Engineering from the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.). Paul then joined the Navy where he was assigned to Mobile Construction Battallian 40 (MCB40). He was deployed with his Navy Seabee team to Micronesia. Paul was always proud to have been called a Seabee, “We’re the Seabees of the Navy. We can build and we can fight.” He served his country with honor and distinction, where he developed a strong sense of discipline and a deep love for his country.

After his military service, Paul embarked on a successful career as a Civil Engineer. He was highly respected by his colleagues and was known for his dedication, hard work, and innovative ideas.
Paul will be remembered for his intelligence and his unwavering love for his family. His quiet and wry sense of humor was appreciated by those close to him. He was a man of great integrity, and his kindness and generosity touched the lives of many.

Paul will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his memory will be cherished forever. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his honor to the Seabee Memorial Scholarship Association at [www.seabee.org] or via check to PO Box 391, Springfield VA 22150.
