JAMES L. GORE Jim Gore was born on September 17, 1934 in Louisville, KY. He was a retired US Navy Seabee Combat Veteran and died peacefully in his sleep from complications from a long illness. He was 87 years old. Mr. Gore served briefly in Korea and completed two tours of duty in the jungles of Vietnam. Mr. Gore was awarded numerous combat ribbons, medals, and meritorious citations. Jim has three children, Norman C. Gore, James Gerald Gore and Cynthia Darlene Gore. Cynthia passed away on October 17, 2017. Jim was a 35-year member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was a survivor of the devastating Camp Fire that took so many lives and his home in Magalia. Senior Chief Petty Officer James L. Gore is now with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is missed by many who knew him as a kind, loving man who was always ready to help anyone in need. A celebration of life with military honors will be held, Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 1:00PM at the Chico Eagles Hall, 1940 Mulberry Street, Chico CA 95928. Arrangements entrusted to the Neptune Society of Northern CA, Chico Brand.
