Final Salute

Tommy “Tom” Vern Jones, 73, passed away on Sunday March 17, 2019 with his loved ones by his side.

Tom was born November 5, 1945 in Belleville, KS to Vern E. Jones and Mary J. Jones (Heller).

He graduated from LaCrosse High School in 1963.

He was a Navy Seabee MCB58 and also served in the Vietnam War Mar 15, 1966 – Nov 17, 1969.

He married Barbara Lou Worthington March 20, 1982 in Reno, NV.

He was an avid hunter, fisherman, car enthusiast and loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Tom is survived by his wife of 37 years Barbara Jones; son & daughter-in-law Tommy & Dawn Jones of Klamath Falls, OR; daughters and sons-in-law Melissa & Dave Mathis of Klamath Falls, OR, and Kari & Steve Barton of Van Alstyne, TX; sons & daughter-in-law Russ Worthington of Westminster, CA, and Rob & Pam Worthington of Garden Grove, CA; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law Sue and Glenn Woods of Rush Center, KS; and numerous nieces and nephews from Kansas.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, son Tommy Chad Jones, Sisters Judith Sateren and Myrna Urban

A Celebration of Life with military honors provided by the Klamath Falls VFW (Pelican Post #1383) will be held at Klamath Memorial Park, 2680 Memorial Drive, on Saturday March 23, 2019 at 1:00 PM.
