Final Salute

John G. Picciano peacefully passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at the age of 92. Loving husband of Margaret “Marge” (nee Stoskus) for 69 years. Beloved son of the late Lena and Libert Picciano. Loving father of Gerald “Jerry”, Susan Skocaj (Joe), Janet (deceased), Carolyn Kollin (Tim) and Joanne Fox (Paul). Dear brother of Marian Roccosalva (George) (both deceased), Theresa Danolfo (Joseph, deceased) and Georgiene Picciano (deceased). Devoted grandfather of Adrienne Poelking (Nick), Adam Kollin (Randeep), Lauren Ribic (Andrej), Emily Kollin, Luke Kollin, Cory Fox and Kara Fox. Great-grandfather of seven. Dear Uncle Sonny to many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He was a WWII Navy Veteran. He proudly served as a Seabee in the Naval Reserves. He was honorably discharged in 1988 with the rank of Chief. A private service was held for the immediate family. John was laid to rest in the Veteran’s section of Lake View Cemetery.
