Jose Elidio Ramirez “53” October 18, 1970 – March 25, 2024 On Monday March 25, 2024,
Jose Elidio Ramirez, loving brother, uncle and father of four children passed away at age 53.
Jose Elidio was born in Gomez Palacio, Durango Mexico to Elidio and Vicenta (Marrufo) Ramirez. He graduated from Valley High School in 1989 then joined the United States NAVY in 1991 and served for 10+ years total where he served as an Engineman (EN3) for a Special Boat Unit (SBU XI) and Builder (BU3) for the US Navy Seabees. He graduated and earned an Associates Degree in Computer Aided Drafting & Design (CAD Technology) Dec.1996. He held Honeywell FM &T and Sandia National Laboratories.
Jose Elidio had a passion for dancing, karaoke, drawing/painting, his beloved ’59 Ford Truck (aka as “La Llelera”) and just having fun. He also loved the nature scene including photography. He did enjoy walks around the North Valley community where he grew up. He was adored and loved by all friends and family and even strangers whom he didn’t really know. He was an avid music lover, loved dancing and singing karaoke, his favorite song “I want it that way” by Backstreet Boys was always a popular and frequently played song at all family gatherings. He was known for his jokes, dancing and always speaking his mind even when if it made others uncomfortable and/or upset.
Jose Elidio was preceded in death by his father, Elidio and his mother Vicenta. He is survived by his four children, Jose Daniel, Savannah, Diego and Emery (Little “M”), his brothers Arturo (Maria), Jesus (Elizabeth), Pedro (Elisabeth), Juan and Luis Fernando (Melissa) and sisters Maricela (Fernando), Martha and several nephews and nieces.
A funeral service will be held on Wed April 17, 2024 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church located at 1860 Griegos Rd NW Albuquerque, NM 87107.
