Alpheus Sidney Bush IV (Sid) known to many as a devoted husband, father, and proud Seabee, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2026, at the age of 81.

Born on November 28, 1944, in Denver, Colorado, to Alpheus III and Helen, Sid grew up with strong values of service and hard work. He proudly served in the United States Naval Construction Battalion (Seabees) during the Vietnam War. He served his country with honor and dedication and carried deep pride in the Seabees’ motto: “We Build, We Fight.”

Beyond his military service, Sid met and married the love of his life, Nancy, and together they shared 54 wonderful years of marriage. he spent most of his adult life working in construction, a trade that reflected his steady hands and strong work ethic. Above all, he was a proud and loving father.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Tom. Sid is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy; his children; Denise, Dana, Alpheus V, his brother Ernest Lambeth and sister Yvonne Martin and several nieces and nephews.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved hi,. A private military service will be held at a later date. Details will be shared with family and friends.
