PO2/BU2
Thomas (Sonny) Glenn was born on October 7, 1934, in Philadelphia, PA, and passed away on August 18, 2021, in Palm Coast, FL.
Tom was a man with a big heart and an inquiring mind who loved life. He was much loved by all those whose lives he touched. He had many interests, including weaponry, playing golf, motorcycle riding, woodworking, cooking, and dancing. He loved to travel and explore the country to learn about the history of various people and places and to find the best pancakes a region had to offer. He was always up for new adventures, including skydiving to celebrate his 85th birthday. He loved his family deeply and has left them with many happy memories.
Tom retired from the U.S. Naval Reserves as a Seabee BU2, and was a truck driver in the Philadelphia area for many years. He is predeceased by his parents Thomas C. and Margaret (Windsor) Glenn, and his son Eric. He is survived by his wife Marcia Anne, sons Thomas C. (children Thomas and Margaret), Curtis E. (wife Valerie and daughter Felicia), and Eric’s children Eric B. and Hailey L. (mother Lynn Shadle), and widow Cathy. He also leaves behind his brother Norman (wife Eileen and sons Greg, Doug, and Russell), and many other friends and family who will celebrate having been a part of Tom’s life.
Memorial services will be held in Philadelphia at a later date. In lieu of flowers Tom wanted donations to be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or the U.S. Navy Seabee Museum.
