Robert Paul Wilusz, of Burlington, passed away peacefully and with family on April 22, 2025, at the age of 82. He was born in 1943 in Hartford, Connecticut, the son of the late Frank and Sophia (Darosz) Wilusz.
Bob joined the Navy and became a machinist aboard the U.S.S. Forrestal, serving his country and seeing the world before returning to Burlington. He continued service as a Seabee in the Navy Reserve. He enjoyed working with his hands, and did construction and concrete work; later, he trained as a nurse. Bob was a devoted son and father who loved family and family gatherings. He enjoyed movies and travel. He was a lifelong member of St. Patrick Church, where he lived his faith as an usher and continuing student of the Bible.
Bob is survived by his sister Marjorie and her husband Richard Carlson; his brother Albert and his wife Patricia; his sons Tom, David, and Dano; and his grandchildren Joaquin, Jenne, and Matthew. He was predeceased by his brother Frank, and by his special friend Kim.
Visitation will be on Monday, April 28, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike in Canton. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick Church, 50 Church Street in Collinsville on Tuesday, April 29th, at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Patrick Church Collinsville or to the Cancer Research Institute.
