Curtis F. Adkins Obituary
Curtis F. Adkins, 70, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008, at his residence.
A retired petty officerr first class in the U.S. Navy with more than 20 years, he received the Purple Heart, National Defense Medal and Combat Action Ribbon.
He also was member of the VFW and American Legion and enjoyed fishing.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 tonight and Wednesday 9;30 until services at 11 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Warren Jones officiating. Burial will be with military honors in Forrest Memorial Park.
Survivors include sons; Curtis Adkins of Jacksonville, Fla., Sona Wilbanks of Ramer, Tn., Donnelle Tidd of Ravenswood, W.Va.; sister, Debbie McCoy, Kay Precec, Tammy Adkins, all of Pikeville, Ky.; grandchildren, Mary, Cassie, Amber, Deidra and Andrew Tidd, Matthew Worthman, Brandi Adkins, Evan and Eric Wilbanks and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbears are Curtis Adkins, Wayne Faulkner and Eric and Evan Wilbanks..
