Claude H. Wager, 70, of Titusville, FL peacefully passed away on January 11, 2024 with his loving family by his side.
Claude was born on July 24, 1953 in Gloversville, NY to Milton Sr. and Virginia (Jaquay) Wager. Claude attended Gloversville High School and graduated with a degree in Construction Technology from Fulton Montgomery Community College, Johnstown, N.Y. Soon afterwards, he proudly served as a Navy Builder Petty Officer 1st Class in the Navy’s SEABEE Construction Battalion from 1984-1988 and resided in Italy, California and Guam, while in the service.
Claude moved to Rockledge, Florida with his family in January 2001 and began working as a Construction Engineering lead inspector for various U.S. government Civil Engineering contractors at Patrick Space Force Base and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, until he retired in December of 2021. Claude was passionate about ensuring quality construction objectives were completed and he was invaluable in overseeing the rebuilding of the Patrick Space Force Base airfield runway.
Claude was a strong, kind, loving, and supportive father to his two sons. He loved riding his Harley and enjoyed being outdoors.
Claude was predeceased by his parents and is survived by his two sons, Ryan C. Wager (Palm Bay, FL) and Eric N. Wager (Rockledge, FL), his ex-wife Catherine Wager (Rockledge, FL) his brother Milton Wager Jr (Gloversville, NY), sisters Dawn Tiano (Gloversville, NY) Linda Cozzolino (Fonda, NY), Gertrude Podschelne (Gloversville, NY), and many nieces and nephews.
No services will be held at this time and the family requests no donations or flowers be sent.
