2019 SMSA Distinguished Scholar Dr. Duncan Moore is honored at the 2019 SMSA Gala in Washington DC.

Each year, the board of directors of the SMSA names one former scholarship recipient as the SMSA Distinguished Scholar for that year.

All former scholarship recipients are eligible to be considered for nomination but can only be named once.

Distinguished Scholars are announced publicly and honored at a major SMSA event each year.
