NAVFAC Northwest, made up of over 650 military and civilian personnel, in response to the Navy’s growth and change in the Northwest.  Our restructured Command includes all public works departments, previously aligned to stations throughout the region, and integrates those forces into one command - NAVFAC Northwest.

NAVFAC is a proud organization that dates back to 1842 when NAVFAC - then known as the Navy Bureau of Yards and Docks - supported a naval shore establishment that amounted to little more than seven ship repair yards, four ordnance magazines, and five naval stations.  With an annual volume of business in excess of $7.6 billion, NAVFAC today delivers timely and effective facilities engineering solutions for the Navy, Marine Corps and other federal clients worldwide.

NAVFAC Northwest is based on the solid foundations of Engineering Field Activity Northwest, Navy Region Northwest Regional Engineer staff and Public Works Shops, and the Public Works Departments at Kitsap, Everett, and Whidbey Island.
